Dissolve Fall Updates: Issue 2 Prompt, Workshop, and Calendar
Dearly Dissolve-d,
After an exciting first few months, we are so pleased that our community of art thinkers is expanding. We continue to feel the love that we enjoyed at our wonderful launch party at Adobe Books on August 13th. We would especially like to thank our guests who attended the party, R/SF for their partnership, and Adobe Books & Arts Cooperative, who generously donated the space and on-site assistance for the evening. We were able to raise enough funds to host the site for a year and cover the cost of the launch event. It is so delightful to see this project take shape – it would have been impossible without our friends and supporters. We are so grateful.
Issue 2
As we move forward in creating Issue 2, we would love for you to visit the Dissolve submission page. There, you will find details on the theme of the next issue – /fôrm/ – along with ways to collaborate and work together. In particular, we are interested in expanding the reach of our collaborative community and content. It would be wonderful if you would not only consider working with us, but also share DISSOLVE with your friends and contacts. We are ever-open and eager to hear from both familiar and new voices.
Workshop
If you would like to participate, and want to learn more, or just want to think with us, we will be hosting an open workshop before the September 23rd submission date. This is a great opportunity for us to meet and discuss the next issue, thinking together about any ideas or prepared writings you might be interested in submitting. We can also assist with workshopping concepts, ideas, and technical issues, such as the process of securing image rights or connections to potential interviewees or collaborators. Please watch your email inbox, or check the Dissolve calendar, social media, and Facebook pages for more information regarding the date, time, and location.
Calendar
The Dissolve Calendar is up and running, providing an additional community forum. Please submit events and opportunities that would be of interest to our shared community.
Thank you for the love and friendship. Until next time!
Endlessly yours,
Dissolve
