Dreams

Sai Li was born and raised in mainland China. She received her MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute (2016) and currently lives and works in the Bay Area. Her comics and artwork stem from personal experience, focusing on raw emotion. Dreams and memories serve as inspiration, testing one version of recollection against another. Through a variety of art forms including drawing, comics, animation and illustration, she employs visual narrative as her primary method of expression. Her work has been featured in Anime Taste, Small World SF and TAYO Literary Magazine and she received the Murphy and Cadogan Contemporary Art Award and the Vermont Studio Center Artist Grant.
